About Kate Lomas, NP
Hi, I'm Kate.I'd like to help you feel like yourself again.
My path to women's health wasn't a straight one. Over the past two decades, I've cared for patients in cardiac surgery, pediatric emergency, primary care, and remote northern communities. Every step led me to the work I feel most passionate about: helping women understand their hormones, navigate midlife with confidence, and feel like themselves again.

Many women who see me have been quietly unwell for a long time. They're tired in a way sleep doesn't fix, dealing with brain fog, mood changes, low libido, or just not feeling like themselves. Many have been told everything looks normal. I know how discouraging that is, and I don't take it lightly.
Today, my work focuses on helping women navigate the hormonal changes of menopause and the years leading up to them. Hormones influence far more than hot flashes; they affect energy, mood, sleep, metabolism, muscle and bone health, sexual health, and how you feel in your own body. When we understand what's driving your symptoms, so much of what once felt confusing begins to make sense.
Over the years I've completed advanced training in functional medicine, menopause care, sexual medicine, and testosterone therapy, so the care I provide reflects where the evidence actually is.
I built this practice around longer appointments, with time to hear the whole story and create a plan that fits your life, not a ten-minute slot. When I'm not in the clinic, you can find me hiking in the Rockies with my rescue dogs, strength training, or experimenting with high-protein, gluten-free recipes for my family. I believe women deserve care that listens, connects the dots, and looks at the whole picture. My goal is simple: to help you feel strong, energized, and like yourself again.
How I practice
You should leave understanding your own body.
I'm not interested in handing you a prescription and sending you out the door. I want you to understand what's happening and why, so whatever we decide feels like your choice.
Good care starts with being heard. Our first visit is unhurried on purpose. There's time to tell me what you're feeling, when it began, and how it's touching your days. That conversation tells me more than any single lab value can.
From there, we build a plan together and adjust it as you go. Your body isn't static, so your care shouldn't be either. I stay with you through the changes. That continuity is the whole point of a practice like this.
What a Nurse Practitioner can do
Complete care, from one person who knows your history.
A Nurse Practitioner has a full scope of practice. That means your assessment, labs, treatment, and follow-up can all stay together, rather than scattered across referrals.
Assess & diagnose
I take a full history, listen to your symptoms, and work out what's actually going on — not just what fits a quick appointment.
Order & interpret labs
I order comprehensive bloodwork and walk you through exactly what it means for you, in plain language.
Prescribe treatment
As a Nurse Practitioner, I can prescribe and manage hormone therapy and the medications that support it.
Coordinate your care
When needed, I arrange imaging and referrals and collaborate with specialists, so your care stays connected rather than fragmented.
My approach
I sit where conventional medicine and preventative, whole-person care meet.
Evidence matters to me. Every recommendation I make is grounded in current science and your own bloodwork. But numbers are only part of the picture. How you sleep, how you move, how you feel day to day: that's the rest of it, and it belongs in the conversation too.
What matters most to me is that every woman I see feels heard, supported, and equipped to live well.
